The Path Towards
High School

The path
towards high school is not an easy one for most Grade 7 students. Going
to high school is similar to embarking on a journey where everything seems
uncertain and fraught with challenges and obstacles. However, once you
arrive at your destination, everything seems clear and falls into place.
This is the same situation which most Grade 7 students face.
The road to take is not an easy one because it involves overcoming many
hurdles. One of these requirements is the HSEE or better known as the
High School Entrance Exam. The entrance exam can be compared to the foundation
of a building which we work on to reach the next phase or the upper floors.
The Grade 7 students had their entrance exam last Saturday, October 23,
2004 in the High School Building from 7:30 to 11:30 am. The day of the
exam was filled with promise. Some students were nervous while others
were feeling confident that they would pass in flying colors. Most students
arrived early, as they were advised to do so, in order to be comfortable
with the testing venue. The entrance exam went well because no one was
sent home nor prevented from taking the test due to missing requirements.
After the exam, there was still mixed emotions among the students. Some
rejoiced at the thought that maybe they passed because it was easy while
others agonized over questions that were missed and had failed to answer.
Overall, what is more important is the fact that everyone had done their
best which would no doubt make themselves, their family and God proud
and happy.
