Last Sunday, October 3, 2004 , the Xavier Baseball Team proved their offensive primacy as they beat De La Salle Lipa to start the Pony Baseball Tournament.

The game started off with both teams going tooth-and-nail and with neither one giving in. The score remained at a deadlock of 2 – 2 after the end of the 2 nd inning and it looked as if the game would continue in this fashion.

In the succeeding innings, however, bad news brewed for the opposing team as the Xavier Baseball Team, under the leadership of Carlo Olivares (4E), suddenly exploded with a 7 – 0 scoring run.

The Xavier Baseball Team, having the momentum on its side, left their opponents in the dirt and never looked back.

Astoundingly, almost all members of the team brought in a few runs of their own – displaying the supremacy of the team when it comes to offense.

In the end, our very own baseball team won convincingly with a score of 15 – 9 to open the tournament with a record of 1 – 0. With this victory, the team seeks to complement this fresh start with a couple more of wins in their next games, although there has still been no announcement of the schedule yet. Nonetheless, the team asks for the community's support as they continue their journey to bring pride and glory to the school.
