      The Information Technology Center (ITC) once again showed its appreciation to its frequent borrowers and users in the annual ITC Day awarding ceremonies held during the high school general assembly last February 1, 2005.

      The awarding ceremony was hosted by Mr. Reagan Austria , Audiovisual Librarian, and Ms. Joan Concepcion, HS Computer teacher.

      Aside from the ITC also paid tribute to generous individuals and publishers who donated books and other materials that enriched the library’s collection during the school year.

      The awards that were given included the following:

       Bookworm award : This is given to patrons, student, faculty and staff – 

 individual and class category) who have borrowed the most number of

 books. This is also given to the class which has the highest number of

borrowers.

       Libreria award : This is given to class advisers who have effectively   encouraged their students to borrow ITC materials and use facilities.

      Bibliotheca award: This is given to a faculty, staff or department which ha s borrowed the most number of books.

      Periodical award: This is given to the patron who has borrowed the most number of periodicals.

      Early Bird award: This is given to patrons who come early to the ITC.

      Awards were also given for patrons who borrow books from the Chinese section such as De Zhe award and Jie Shu Zhe award.

      With this activity, it is hoped that more members of the community will visit the ITC for academic and leisure purposes.

Ms. Marie Grace Afuang has been with the ITC for 3 years now.  As secretary, she is in-charge of housekeeping and recording matters of her department.  At present, she is also handling the fiction and the periodicals section.
