Teaching Computer Education to Beginners

For the past 3 years the H4 students have been offering free Basic Computer Training program to parents, helpers and drivers during their computer education classes. This is part of their Computer Practicum Program (CPP) wherein students instead of having their usual classroom instruction undergo special activities.

     The training started last January 3, 2005 and one – on - one lectures were held at the PC Laboratory 1, in the HS building. The students taught computer courses ranging from Introduction to computers to FrontPage, a web developing software. The Seminar ended last Feb 18 with a simple graduation for the qualified participants.

     Indeed, teaching computer education to beginners was a different experience for the students. Aside from the chance to share their knowledge and skill to others, they were able to realize the importance of computer technology in our society today.
