Since not all alumni will be able to attend the retreat, Xavier School has planned a series of recollections for the spiritual renewal of as many of the alumni as possible in this Jubilee Year. Three recollections are planned focusing on three specific alumni groups. These day-long recollections will have programs ‘tailor-fit” for each group in order for participants to derive maximum benefits.
TGIX – Xavier Life ReLIVEd!
November 11 (Sat), 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
MPC, Xavier School
Alumni from batches ’90 to last year’s batch ’06, are invited to attend Thank God It's Xavier (TGIX), on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the newly refurbished Angelo King Multi - Purpose Center in Xavier School. It will start with registration at 8:30 am and will end with a mass at 4:00 p.m. Services and facilities are free but a nominal fee of P100 will be charged per person for meals.
TGIX is a one-day recollection designed to rekindle the Xavier spirit by recalling the past, taking stock of the present and catching a glimpse of the future as a true Xaverian, among fellow Xaverians. The recollection, organized by Xavier School and members of different batches spanning 16 years, is seen to bring together the “younger” alumni who have just started families, careers and businesses and those who are still in college.
The planning committee, initially composed of Jun Lim (’90), Glenn Khonghun (’93), Rabbi Ang (’98), TJ Agulto (’99), Kevin Syling (’03), TJ Simeon (’06) and Fr. Guy Guibelondo SJ of the XS Campus Ministry, has expanded to include many other members of other batches. Harvey Keh, Delson Balance, Allen Silvano, Carlos Locsin, Manny Lee, Martin Lopez and Karol Yee have joined the committee to iron out the details for a memorable re-living and prayer experience for the participants.
The other two recollections are:
