High School FACAMPA Elects New Set of Officers
Mr. Jake Aragon, HS-FACAMPA COMELEC

Posted Thursday, 03-Aug-2006 3:22 PM

Last July 19, 2006, all high school teachers, staff, and guidance counselors elected their new set of FACAMPA officers at the lobby of the High School Faculty Workroom.

Mr. Roberto Dela Cruz (Science), with 56 votes, edged out Mr. Ronald Demegillo (CLE) for the position of president. In addition, Mr. Frederick Perez of the English department clinched the position of vice-president by garnering 41 votes over Social Science teacher, Mr. Exxon Yu’s 37.

For the position of secretary, both English teachers, Mrs. Vivian Ocampo and Mr. Adrian Asis, garnered 40 votes. Because of the tie, a term-sharing agreement between the two is still being discussed by the candidates and the current executive board of the FACAMPA.

Mr. Christian Bumatayo of the English Department obtained the most votes for the position of male treasurer, getting 31 votes and beating Mr. Enzo Flojo (CMSO), Mr. James Rivera (Guidance), and Mr. Dann Tabayoyong (Math).

The tight race between Ms. Loida Claro (English) and Mrs. Lilet Bermejo (Math) for the position of female treasurer came to an end until the last ballot was counted, with Ms. Claro grabbing the post with 41 votes over the 39 of Mrs. Bermejo.

Finally, Ms. Wynda Benito (Math), with 49 votes, bested Mrs. May Hernandez (Math), who obtained 30 votes, for the position of auditor.

This year’s FACAMPA election was made possible by the efforts of the FACAMPA COMELEC comprised of Ms. Cathy Almario (Social Science), Mr. Jake Aragon (English), Ms. Aimee Catahan (Science), and Mr. EJ Legaspi (English).
