AV Materials Update and Evaluation

      The High School Learning Resource Center (HS-LRC) took advantage of the afternoons during the first quarter exams last August 16-18, 2006 in order to provide a convenient time for academic departments to review and evaluate the rich collection of audiovisual materials available in the AV section located on the 4th floor of the HS building.

      The AV materials for each department were daintily displayed in AV room 1 for easy picking. Among the departments who came early for the activity was the Math department that came in full force. The Math teachers in their usual efficient mode finished the round in a jiffy with a lot of time to spare for a side trip to the MAC lab nearby. They made their department the first to sample the newly purchased iMAC computers arranged on Xavier-blue tabletops.

      Aside from reviewing the existing collection, this activity gave the teachers a chance to update themselves with the available materials that can be used for instruction. The English Department, as well as the other academic departments sent their representatives to view the AV materials.
