      Last December 1-8, 2006 the 2006 India International Yong Mathematicians’ Convention was held in City Montessori School in Lucknow, India where the MTG-Philippine contingent was joined by two Xaverians.

      After competing with over 60 teams from India and various countries, Team Philippines brought home silver and bronze medals. Evan Nicolo Lao’s (H1A) team won the silver while Jeffrey Kenneth Gos’ team, brought home the bronze medal in the team event.

      These two boys also outclassed other bright mathematicians in the individual categories as Jeffrey won a gold medal, while Evan bagged a silver.

      With these victories, Jeffrey and Evan did not only bring pride to the school but to the country as well. Luceat Lux!
