KAWAN Leaders: Laging Handa

              And true to its motto – be prepared – the Grades Two and Three Class Advisers had their KAWAN Leaders Orientation and Workshop last June 6, 2006 at the Grade School Learning Resource Center.  Sponsored by the Student Activities Program Office, the session aimed at familiarizing the new KAWAN Leaders with the KAB Scout program and activities.  The session also provided a venue for the experienced KAWAN Leaders to evaluate and revise the existing KAB Scout modules.  Ms. Abby Santos (Grade 2 teacher) and Ms. Myrna Mojica (Grade 3 teacher) led their respective moderators in the revision of the program.

              The versatile trio of Mr. Marc Magsalin, Mr. Felix Pangan and Mr. Giovanni Ortiz, holders of 3 beads and Assistant Leader Trainers with CMT of the Boy Scout of the Philippines, facilitated the orientation session for the new KAWAN Leaders.  The new moderators went through a simulated Color Group meeting as they learned the ropes of being effective KAWAN Leaders.  They joined in singing action songs, forming the basic lines as commanded, and even reciting the Pangako at Batas ng KAB Scout. The teachers expressed their satisfaction with the orientation as they felt equipped to conduct their own Color Group Meetings.

 The KAB Scout Program has truly helped form our students to become men always ready to radiate their light for the service of others.
