The Xavier Bowling Team is out to once again prove its prowess as it embarked on its first major event this school year.
Last Sunday, June 25, 2006, members of the Xavier Bowling
team participated in the Philippine Bowling Congress 2nd National Youth
Quarterly 2006 and brought home two medals from
Carl Matthew Lim of H2F bowled a total of 957 pins after five games to win the silver medal in the Juniors division. Meanwhile, team captain, Joseph Emmanuel Ang of H4D also bagged the silver medal in the Collegiate division by bowling a total of 1281 pins in six games.
On the other hand, Carl seemed to have started a little slow at first, but he quickly picked up the pace as he shifted target in the second game. He managed to throw high games of 206 and 234. In the end, it was a close fight for the gold. Marco Ocampo won over Carl by only 20 pins.
Other bowlers who joined the PBC 2nd National Youth Quarterly Juniors division were Kurt Yu of H2B and Timothy Hung of G7E.
