Prep Service Interaction Activity
It was a day of fun and excitement as the Prep boys, together with their yayas, came to school to have fun and enjoy the Yaya Service Interaction. This activity was entitled, “ Bi-YAYA Ka sa Akin!” . Even before the program started, the students and their yayas gathered in their At last, the moment the boys and the yayas were waiting for came! The 1st game was called Over and Under. The boys and their yayas laughed with excitement as they passed the ball to their group mates. After The next game was an obstacle course. It was a very amusing sight to see the boys and their yayas race to the balance beam and carry baskets filled with fruits up to the finish line. After this game, it was the boys’ turn to show their yayas their flair for dancing. A group of 10 boys, mostly those students who have no yaya, danced the famous High School Musical song, “ It’s Hard to Believe”. Boy! They looked so adorable in their costumes and cute dance steps, which were choreographed by Laoshi Jenny. The final game was called Let’s Go to School! In this game, the boy and his yaya showed how they work as a tandem in preparing for The boys prepared a song number for their yayas, which was sung after the game. The boys sang the song, “Iingatan Ka” to their yayas with much candor. Suddenly, the laughter faded and tears welled out of the yayas’ eyes. It was heartwarming to see the boys looking at their yayas’ eyes as they were singing the song. The boys also prepared a special card wherein they expressed their love and gratitude to their yayas. It was Every program calls for an end, and in this year’s Service Interaction, Bi-Yaya Ka sa Akin, the yayas went home with a smile on their faces, a blissful feeling in their hearts, and an appreciation for their work as gifts of God to their wards. We hope that the yayas will never forget this experience of being appreciated and loved by their alagas. May this experience be an insightful one as they continue to nurture the light of these little boys entrusted to their care.
