Last Monday, October 23, 2006, a special High School General Assembly was held to give recognition to four outstanding alumni who have made a mark in their respective fields.

The four Xaverians who received certificates of recognition were: Dr. Patrick Leonard G. Co (XS ’96), Medical board topnotch, Dr. Nathaniel L. Yu Chua (XS ’97), 8th placer in the Medical Board, Mark Yap (XS’ 98), 7th placer in the Licensure Exams for Teachers and Woody Co (XS ’06), UAAP Rookie of the Year.

Ms. Aimee Apolinario, HS Assistant Principal for Academics delivered the opening speech reminding the students that Magis is not just a burst of energy or an adrenalin rush, but a disposition that moves a person to do his best in everything.

The brief opening was immediately followed by the awarding of the certificates.  Mrs. Fides Abad, Student Activities Coordinator read the certificates of recognition.

As response to this recognition, Patrick and Woody delivered their own inspirational messages to the students.
