With the “ber” months upon us, the Alumni Association of Xavier School Bowling Club (AAXSBC) has sat its calendar for the remainder of the year. It is now calling on not only the alumni bowlers, but also the rest of the Xavier Community to come and participate.
First up is the September Monthly Tournament, featuring a six game with handicap format open to all alumni and students of Xavier School . The tournament, which features cash prizes to the top 3 winners, will be on September 14, 2006 at 9:45 p.m. at the Green Valley Country Club.
Next is the first ever Legacy Challenge. Four teams (60s/70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s/varsity) of Xavier’s best bowlers will battle in multiple events to answer the question, “Which decade is the best?” The challenge begins on September 17, 2006 at 5:30 PM at the Green Valley Country Club. The entire Xavier Community is being invited to come and see this landmark event.
After that, the AAXSBC will hold its 2006 Doubles League beginning on October 5, also at Green Valley. This year, the league will be open to not only the entire Xavier Community, but also to their guests and friends as well. Up for grabs are trophies and various prizes and giveaways.
Lastly, the all star teams of the AAXSBC (Blue and Gold) will take on the Xavier Varsity Bowling Team in the 2nd AAXSBC Alumni Varsity Challenge. This eagerly anticipated event will be another exciting tournament for spectators and once again, the entire Xavier Community is being invited to watch the tournament. Interested parties may contact Vinson Tan at 0916-4889824 or Jim See at 0917-539515.
Meanwhile, the AAXSBC has sent two teams to compete in the Inter-Alumni Tournament to be held at the Playdium Bowling Center every Sunday starting September 24, 2006.
It is quite a busy time for the AAXSBC as the year winds down and it would certainly not be complete without the support of the Xavier Community. See you at the Games!
