The high school faculty and staff family keeps on growing as new members are accepted into the fold. Last Wednesday, September 21, 2006, the High School FACAMPA organized a simple get together to formally welcome 12 new teachers: Ms. Chris Tugadi (CLE), Mr. Kenneth Gan (CLE), Mr. Brian Marana (CLE), Ms. Tina Martinez (Filipino) Mrs. Jen Lai (Filipino), Mr. Dindo Munsayac (Science), Ms. Dana Gabriana (HSPO), Ms. Cathy Ching (Chinese), Ms. Daisy Zhou (Chinese), Mr. Jerry Feng (Chinese), Ms. Amanda Lu (Chinese), and Bro. Terrence Ang, S.J. (Chinese).
In addition to this, certificates were awarded to high school
faculty and staff members whose contributions to the community have been
noteworthy. Among those who were recognized were the members of the To give the new teachers a warm welcome, the high school FACAMPA organized a fun and exciting beauty pageant-based program entitled “Newbie of the Year” hosted by Mrs. Enaje along, with Ms. Barbara Magallona. The said contest required the new teachers to perform different challenges from creating a costume out of manila paper to answering difficult questions in the Q & A Portion.
Ultimately, wowing the judges with his Forrest Gump impression
and quick-witted response, Mr. Marana of the CLE Department took home
the title “Newbie of the Year.” Meanwhile, Mr. Gan received the “Fashionista
Award” for The program also served to welcome the newly tenured teachers of the family. Ms. Aimee Apolinario, Assistant Principal for Academics led the community in congratulating Mr. TJ Agulto of the CLE Department, Mr. Enzo Flojo of the CMSO, Ms. Hazel Wong of the Chinese Department, Mr. Mel Chua of the Science Department, and Ms. Perps Cuevas and Mrs. Ivy Enaje from the Filipino Department. Incidentally, the newly elected FACAMPA President, Mr. Robbie dela Cruz of the Science Department delivered the closing remarks. At the end of the program, the faculty and staff got to enjoy a feast made possible via potluck of the different departments.
