Why does it seem to be more difficult nowadays to make our children understand what we say?  It is almost as if we speak a language alien to their ears!!! We never seem to get the right timing, right mix , right balance or right tone, to get our thoughts, emotions and concerns across properly.

To help us improve our communication skills, JAMES AND MARILOU TAN will come to Xavier School, HS Multi-Purpose Hall on September 13, 2006 8:00-11:00 AM.

They will discuss the different ways of talking and listening to each other and teach us the skills and positive attitudes we will need to create a harmonious atmosphere in our homes.

James Tan, XS'71 graduate holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from UST, is council president of Mary the Queen Parish, and is finishing his studies in Pastoral Ministry at the Loyola School of Theology.

Marilou is a Fine Arts graduate of UST, was a member of the UST faculty for eight years, and is a marriage and family counselor.

Be there on the 13th of September.  Let's stop and talk a while.
