Newspaper Drive 2006

     All students from Nursery to Grade 7 are enjoined to support the annual Newspaper Drive of the Grade School Student Council.  Proceeds of this project will go to the Fr. Jean Desautels Golden Choice Scholarship Fund and the projects of the GS Student Council.

     Newspapers, white paper, boxes/cartons, magazines and telephone directories may be brought to school within the week allotted for each grade level.  The schedule is as follows:

September 4-8      :   Nursery (AM and PM) and Grade 7

September 11-15   :   Prep (AM and PM) and Grade 6

September 18-22   :   Grade 1 and Grade 2

September 25-29   :   Grade 3, Grade 4 and Grade 5

     Winners will be determined by the total number of kilos brought in and not by the corresponding monetary amount raised by the section.

The winners will receive the following prizes:

1st Prize   :   Certificate + Pizza Party for the Class     

2nd Prize   :   Certificate +   Ice-cream Party for the Class

     A circular regarding the details and mechanics of the drive will be distributed to all students of the Grade School Unit and posters created by the SC officers will be posted around the school to remind the student body and to give updates.

    As we recommit this Jubilee Year to the vision of Fr. Desautels and the rest of our Jesuit Fathers, may the Lord bless us in our effort so that everyone will support this endeavor and Xavier School can truly be Xavier for All!
