Chinese Painting Exhibit
These are the art works of the Grade 7 students done during the Third Quarter, otherwise known as “The Synthesis Quarter” where varied activities were done by the students. For the first time, the Chinese Department was able to invite Mrs. Rosel Valenzuela, our former Grade School Art teacher, to teach basic Chinese painting to the students. With the use of their brushes, the students painted their different interpretations of bamboo in black ink. The result was a dramatic rendering of the pliant and flexible grass. This once a week session enabled the students to gain a different kind of artistic experience. At the same time, it helped promote greater awareness of their Chinese Culture. To encourage the students to continue what they have learned, The Chinese Department and GS LRC have decided to put up this mini exhibit to share with you the artistic talents of the Grade 7 Students.
