The Year of the Pig (Boar)
This year, we mark the year of the Fire Pig

(Feb 18, 2007 through Feb 6, 2008).

People born under the sign of the Pig are chivalrous and gallant. Whatever they do, they do with all their strength. There is no retreat for them. They have tremendous fortitude and great honesty. Their relationships are very deep, devoted, and rich beyond measure. They don’t make many friends but the ones they make are friends for life. Pig people are quiet, studious and generally well-informed. On the other hand, they have a quick temper and sometimes have to pay for their rash impulsiveness. Adopting the philosophy of “Live and Let Live,” the Pig will have an abundance of good fortune and an abundance of years. The Pig will know a life filled with serenity and riches. Soup, Oolong Tea, and Candied Ginger are among keys to good health!

Some standard Chinese New Year Greetings:

新年快乐 (xIn niBn kuDi lH) Happy New Year!
万事如意 (wDn shL rS yL ) May everything be according your wishes!
连年有余 (liBn niBn yOu yR) May successive years be of good fortune!.
恭喜发财!红包拿来!(gMng1xK fA cCi, hNng bAo nB lBi) Best wishes for good fortune! Hand over the red envelope!)
