  XAVERIAN'S CORNER

Dear Pencey High School
John Huang (H3G), Lyricist

Posted Friday, 09-Feb-2007 2:27 PM

Dear Pencey High School is the winning song performed by H3G during the H3 Bandfest last Januray 24, 2007.

I’m seeing faces again

With masks strapped on tightly

Differing each passing day

Insecurities so apparent

How are you doing?

Knowing that you’re full of lies

Jumping on the bandwagon

Everyone’s such a goddam phony…

I’m writing a letter now

Dear Pencey High School ,

You and your horse are so vain,

All high up and left to dry.

Seems you have a following

And they’re dragged into this

Masquerade of cynicism.

I’d like to breathe in once

A breath of truth and dignity

It’s getting harder now

I’m suffocating and nobody’s here

Don’t you think it’s time now? (It’s time now)

To remove all doubting cases

Grow up and smell the roses (Smell the roses)

Show your face to the world!

Try to accept me for who I am

Lift your masks and see

The scars will wash away

The scars will wash away

The scars, the scars, the scars

Will wash away

Change back to the very first day
