Fr. Cortina Sports Center Blessed!

      What is a finer way to start using the Xavier Sports Center but to concelebrate a mass with our School community of Administrators, Faculty, Non-academic staff, parents, students, and alumni? What's more? This momentous activity was held on the eve of the feast of St Ignatius de Loyola.

         We were very joyful to see our dear Fr. Santos Mena, SJ in attendance. His presence added glitter and a great sense of fulfillment in realizing his ‘brother coach’ Fr Rafael Cortina, SJ’s dream of building a Sports Center for Xavier students and alumni. We saw the sparkle of happiness in his eyes and the excitement in his face!

          Fr. Johnny C. Go, SJ was the Presider. Joining him were Fr. Mena, SJ, Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, SJ, Fr. Guy Guibelondo, SJ, Fr. Art Borja, SJ, Fr. Joseph Yu, SJ, Fr. Cesar Marin, SJ, and Fr. Zhang De Shun.  They solemnly led over a thousand members of the Xavier community in the Eucharistic celebration. Fr Johnny gave us a very interesting and child-friendly homily-story. Special thanks should go to our creative graphic artist, Joseph Gotinga, who would always support Xavier through his God-given talents.

      The mass was capped by a fellowship cum heavy snacks of yummy delights! It was another quality family time at Xavier School! Thank you to those who shared their time, talent and financial support to fulfill a dream – the Fr. Rafael Cortina Sports Center! Congratulations and God bless us all!
