St. Francis Xavier Feast Day Celebrations

Posted Wednesday, 30-Nov-2005 1:00 PM

The school celebrated the feast day (Dec. 3) of its patron saint, St. Francis Xavier, Friday, Dec. 2 with the first ever joint Mass for both high school and grade school at the Fr. Rafael Cortina Sports Center. The mass was preceded by a procession of all students and faculty & staff. The Mass was a highly musical celebration of the Holy Eucharist under the leadership of Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ, together with several instrumentalists providing musical accompaniment and a choir composed of grade school and high school students. The prayer of the faithful was done in three languages, English, Filipino and Chinese, to remind everyone of the missionary spirit of St. Francis Xavier. The Mass which started at 8:30 AM, included the special participation of Jesuit scholastics.
