Summer vacation ended early for teachers as they were all required to report back to work last April 25. However, coming back didn’t mean the end of summer fun as Mr. Josy Agoncillo, Mr. Dan Gonzales, and Mr. Patrick Posadas of the PE Department organized a badminton doubles tournament for faculty and staff.

       The tournament which ran from May 2 to June 1 featured ten teams that vied for the championship in the A and B divisions.

       The teachers and staff had to enlist first and they were paired as well as classified according to their badminton skills.

       Matches were held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the HS gym, where the players and their cheerers gather regularly for three weeks.

       In the end, the tournament proved to be an opportunity not only to exhibit badminton skills, but also a venue for community building and fun.

Group A

Champion - Robbie de la Cruz (HS Sci) and Julio Mogote (ITS)
1st runner up - Tony Basmayor (PE Department) and Tess Elizalde (HS AO)

2nd runner up - Aids Asis (HS English) and Gilord Abelita (HS AP)

Group B

Champion - Jane Agcaoli (Athletics Office) and Annabel de Jesus (GSPO)
1st runner up - Roderico Pomarca (PPO) and Vanni Marte (GS MAPEC)
2nd runner up - Conrad Ortiz (GS ODS) and Achie Oliva (GS Language)
