HIGHLIGHTS

Bust of Paul Hsü Kuang Chi Installed
Mr. Gary Garcia, Web Editor-In-Chief

Posted Friday, 11-Nov-2005 1:30 PM

In simple ceremonies held Friday morning, Fr. Johnny Go dedicated the recently installed bust of Hsü Kuang Chi, the famed scholar, scientist and Christian from whom Xavier School ’s Chinese name was taken. The bust memorializes this great intellectual whose pursuit of knowledge and honesty can serve as an inspiration to the Xavier Community. Modelled after the statue in Shanghai, (birthplace of Kuang Chi), the bust is located in the pocket garden along the Gate 1 driveway in the middle of a square pond against a backdrop of palm trees and bamboo.
