XS Commissions Golden Jubilee Stamp

        Xavier School recently signed an MOA with Philippine Postal Corp. (Philpost) for a commemorative stamp to mark the school’s Golden Jubilee. The stamp will be a limited edition se-tenant piece of four individual but interrelated stamps and will be issued in time for the start of the Jubilee by June 2006. Signing the MOA on behalf of Xavier School is Fr. Johnny Go , S. J., Director (3 rd from left) and for Philpost, Mr. Luis Carlos, Asst. Postmaster General for Marketing & Business Development (3 rd from right). Witnessing are from far left: Hero Yu, Chair of the Jubilee Committee, and Dave Atienza, Head of Stamp Committee, both Xavier alumni; and Philpost officers: Dr. Ngo Tiong Tak, Vice Chairman Stamp Committee and Ms. Lourdes Cubelo, Acting Director, Philatelic Service. The commemorative stamp is one of the many activities lined up by the school to celebrate its 50 th anniversary.
