Ms. Jessie Ang, Assistant to the GS Chinese Department Chairperson

Upon the invitation
of the Grade School Chinese Department, Sister Shengrong
Liu, L.Ac offered a free clinic to the teachers last Nov. 17, 2005. About
50 faculty and staff members trooped to the High School Infirmary for
their pulses to be felt by Sister Liu. Yes! That’s how she diagnoses and
treats the underlying cause of each individual’s imbalance. Some of the
teachers needed to be treated with acupuncture, the insertion of fine
needles into the
body, to stimulate and balance the flow of Qi which is the body’s natural
energy or life force. The number of treatment varies according to the
condition of the imbalance. Other teachers were asked to take herbal medicine
for several months to eliminate the disease and maintain their health.
Due to numerous requests for Sister Liu to offer her services again, arrangements
are being made to make this possible.
