Last November 18, 2005, one of the most significant events in the history of Xavier happened at the HS-ITC – the book signing of Fr. Mena’s book Luceat Lux: The Story of Xavier School (Kuang Chi). The author himself was there to autograph the book for the students, faculty and staff.

Many students, faculty and staff flocked around Fr. Mena and lined up for their books to be signed.

Fr. Mena his delightful smile the whole time since he did not expect so many people to come for the occasion. The students were awed by the presence this Jesuit priest whom they do not always see around.

Apart from being a book signing event, the day turned out to be a sort of reunion of former employees and friends of Fr. Mena’s. Gracing the occasion were former faculty and staff, namely: Mr. Robert Suntay (HS Principal), Mrs. Bel Villavicencio (Personnel Officer), Mrs. Ruby Tongco (Guidance Counselor), and Mr. Robert Zialcita (HS Prefect of Discipline) among others.

The Golden Jubillee memorabilia were also displayed. Members of the Jubilee committee were around to sell books and other souvenir items which made the occasion more complete.
