Friday Mass

      Last February 17, 2006, Fr. Guy Guibelondo, SJ, Campus Minister, celebrated the first of a series of Friday masses for the remaining weeks of the school year.

       Although this might seem to be a late start, Fr. Guy believes that there is no such thing as a late beginning for a meaningful activity such as Friday masses.

      Incidentally, the mass was held after the Tiong Lian victories of the Xavier Aspirants and Juniors team. Thus, it also served as thanksgiving for the double championship that the school earned for the year.

      In his short, but inspiring homily, Fr. Guy emphasized the importance of faith and how it can do wonders in our lives. This is a timely message not only in the time of victory for the school, but also for the country during these trying times.

      Organized in cooperation with the HS CLE Department, the said Friday masses are hoped to be continued as a regular activity in the unit not only for the rest of this school year, but for the succeeding school years as well.

Everyone is invited to attend the suceeding Friday masses to be held at the High School Chapel at 12:30 PM.
