A Visit from Sta. Clara Parish School

      Seven department coordinators from Sta. Clara Parish School came to Xavier for a half-day school visit last Wednesday, February 22, 2006. They were welcomed by Ms. Aimee Apolinario, High School Assistant Principal for Academics, along with the High School Department Chairpersons.

      In preparation for the PAASCU accreditation of their school, the Sta. Clara Parish School visited Xavier to observe classes in the different subject areas.

      Sta. Clara subject coordinators, Mr. Walter Tolelntino (Science), Mr. Eduard Salamera (English), Mr. Alex Macailing (Math), Ms. Rina Eresa (Araling Panlipunan), Mrs. Daryl Puringue (Computer), Mr. Peter Caramat (Christian Living), and Ms. Epifania De Leon (Filipino), spent the first three periods observing classes and articulating with the department chairs from Xavier School.

      During recess, the visitors were treated to a simple merienda and the Xavier video was played to further acquaint the guests with Xavier School . This was immediately followed by a more in-depth articulation between the Sta. Clara coordinators and their Xavier counterparts.

      After the fruitful interaction, the group was led by Mr. Alemberg Ang and Mrs. Theresa Nebres-Ladrido in a short school tour.

      From the tour, the group went back to the meeting room where they HS Principal, Mrs. Jane Cacacho met with the Sta. Clara subject coordinators.

      To end the visit, a concluding articulation with Ms. Apolinario was conducted to address further questions from the guests.

      Before leaving Xavier, the department coordinators of Sta. Clara express their heartfelt thanks for the new things they have learned. Among those that they have noted from the visit were our students’ proficiency in English, our teachers’ preparation for their classes, and our school’s facilities.
