With this victory, the Xavier word masters lived up to their
status as the team to beat in the High School level. However, it is not
yet time to celebrate big time. The triumph of the Xavier School representatives
is, indeed, very much welcome; however, as the National Scrabble Association
of the Philippines, Inc. (NASCAP) President Nene Lambino, upon handing
the trophy to the winning Xavier team, declared that
Before the end of the first quarter of 2006, the Xavier Scrabble Team should gear up for the 2nd Philippine Students' Scrabble Championship, where teams from all over the country will participate in the most exciting "word war" event of the year for all students nationwide.
With its winning streak, the neophyte Xavier Scrabble Club team seems to be in high spirits for this next event. Let us hope and pray that this impressive performance of the team will continue to shine in the upcoming tournament. Luceat Lux!
