Subject:           Chairman of the Golden Jubilee Committee 2006

     This is to announce the appointment of Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, S.J. as the new Chair of the Golden Jubilee Committee effective January 2006.  With his wealth of experience and unique affinity to Xavier School, we are confident Fr. Zuloaga will build on the gains so far achieved by the committee for the Countdown to the Golden Jubilee and inject the spirit of renewal, which is the core objective of the Jubilee Celebrations, in all future activities.

     We take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to the former Chair, Hero Yu (’72), whose dynamism and leadership enabled him to organize and mobilize the various sub-committees responsible for the successful implementation of the activities for the Countdown to the Jubilee Year.  We commend him especially for his initiatives in the efforts to establish the overseas alumni chapters.  He will continue to serve as a consultant to the Golden Jubilee Committee.

     As we welcome this New Year and approach the beginning of Xavier School’s Golden Jubilee in June 2006, I extend my personal thanks for everyone’s contribution and continuing support for the school.
