Reverend Father Ismael Zuloaga, S.J., Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Reverend Father Johnny Go, our School director, Atty. Ted Bonpin, our guest speaker, Mrs. Ditas Dairo, our Grade School Principal, Mrs. Estrelle Nabua, Mr. Peter Marc Magsalin, and Mrs. Arlene Choo, our Assistant Principals, Reverend Father Arturo Borja, S.J., our School Chaplain, teachers, parents, guests, and fellow Xaverians, good afternoon to you all. I stand before you today to welcome you all to one of the most important occasions we celebrate as grade school Xaverians: our Grade School Class 2006 Closing Ceremonies. As we all know, we would normally associate closing as the end of something. However, I would not say that this is the end, for this occasion marks just the beginning of another stage in our lives.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you roll a little snowball down a snowy hill, what do you think will happen? The most obvious answer is that the little snowball will grow bigger, and bigger, as it moves down the hill. If it stops snowing, the snowball melts. If there is dirt on the path, the snowball gets dirty. Our journey is like the journey of the snowball. In another way, each of us, fellow Xaverians, is a snowball. As we trudge down the hill, we pick up things, and most importantly, we meet people, people who mold us to become who we are today. Now, we have grown, and hopefully changed for the better. Now, we have become fine young gentlemen.

But how do we know if the path we are taking is right or wrong, if our decisions are right or wrong? As long we stand for our beliefs and values, we know we have no regrets, we know that we are doing the right thing. Moving on through the vast horizon of the future, to be more than we were yesterday, guided by our Xavier Education, we know we are strong.
