Tips on How to Spend Your Summer Vacation

What are you planning to do this summer? Are you going to play all day or keep that body in bed? Well, whatever you plan to do, here are some ways to spice up your two-month vacation:

  • First of all, bond with your family. Some of you probably rarely ever talk with your parents, so I would suggest that you interact with your parents. Explore something with them. Why not try something like helping in your parents’ work? This would definitely add to your “pogi-points” and enhance your relationships at home.
  • If you’re the type of person who is irritated by his baby brother or sister, why not spend time with them? Baby-sit or play with them. Lend them your toys. Breaking one or two of your toys wouldn’t hurt right? What matters is the fact that you sacrifice material possessions for someone you dearly love.
  • Catch up with your friends. Just because there are no classes, it doesn’t mean that you should leave your friends lying around like old toys. You can get in touch with them via cellphone, e-mail, or even organize a get-together party. It won’t take much of your time.
  • Nurture your mind. Learn and explore new things.  Take your eyes off the computer and try to learn new things. Why not try to learn a new instrument? Use those God-given talents!

  • Exercise. Take your body off that couch and go play various sports like badminton, basketball or even swimming. Be a healthy person!
  • Lastly, spend time with God. Do remember that he is our Creator, and we owe Him our lives. We can do many things to thank Him. We can go to Church, serve others or even simply pray! Five to ten minutes of your day isn’t much, right?

I hope you gathered some tips on how to make this time of the year a meaningful one. Enjoy your summer vacation and see you in June!
