HIGHLIGHTS The Prep Culminating Activity 2005-2006
The day was met with great anticipation. The excitement in the air was palpable, as the Prep boys arrived in their colorful costumes, ready to show their teachers, parents and guests, the talents they have honed throughout the year. This is their chance to shine as they reach for the stars. The Prep Culminating Program, aptly entitled Reach for the Stars, The program formally began with some opening remarks from the school director, Fr. Johnny Go, S.J. The presentations began with an opening prayer performed by the first group of boys, singing the song Hallelujah. This lively praise song showed the boys’ gratitude to God for the wonderful year that they have had, and the amazing gifts that He continues to shower upon them everyday. Following this lively number was Peter Pan, a musical play which showcased the dancing and acting abilities of the second group of boys. Everyone had a good time as they followed the A special message from the Grade School Principal, Mrs. Ditas Dairo, served as a heart-warming end to the different presentations. The only thing left was for the boys to sing together one last time. Quietly, each class entered the stage and solemnly took their places. With voices clear and strong, they sang their closing song, Go the Distance (from the movie Hercules). This performance was closely followed by the singing of the Xavier school song. Proudly, they stood together for the last time as Prep boys, and took a final bow. As they raised their heads, they now stood ready to face the new challenges in the years to come. Congratulations, boys! Reach for the stars!
