Campaign for Nominations for Exemplary Alumni in Full Swing

      The primary role of this Committee is to promote awareness and actively generate nominations from the different batches. The consensus was that the completion of the official nomination forms may prove to be a tough task for many Xaverians who are unfamiliar with the documentation and; consequently, the year reps are being mobilized to speed up the nominations process.

      Through this network of alumni, the objectives and mechanics of the Tribute can be communicated effectively. The Committee expects that within October, a substantial list of Xaverians can be collected and the research work on these individuals can commence to formalize their nominations.

      In the meeting, the members were clarified on the criteria encapsulated by the Xavier Ideal of being “Men fully alive, endowed with a passion for justice and the skills for development.” This high benchmark is being used to identify and honor the Xaverian who best exemplifies any one -- not necessarily all -- of the elements in this statement. Thus, the alumni who have been outstanding in Christian values or service or excellence , for as long as they are not deficient in the other two attributes, can qualify for this once-in-a-lifetime recognition.

      The Tribute to the Exemplary Alumni of the first fifty years is the centerpiece activity of the Golden Jubilee and will cap the year-long Jubilee celebrations. The active participation of every alumnus is needed. Please contact your batch reps for more details or you can download forms on this site or submit your nominations online.
